Raffle Tickets We still have a number of ticket Packets left. Please!!! If you haven't picked up your tickets please pick them up at the SSYC office. Power boating training for Juniors Because of state law stating all minors between the age of 12 to 17 need a certification to operate a powerboat. We will be providing a Coast Guard Auxiliary run course the first week of lessons... DNR Boating Safety Course
Classes will be June 19, 20, 21, 22, 24th
Used Clothing and Equipment Market - We will be starting a used equipment and clothing channel on Facebook. Watch for that announcement at in the next few weeks. Thanks and that's about all for now. I hope you all are enjoying the beautiful weather. we had a great turn out and a great time at the Easter Egg Hunt Saturday. we had 106 guests - lots of little kids and of course, the Easter Bunny showed up. Big thanks to Stacy Trisco who ran the event, Sam who cooked a perfect lunch, Pete Larson and Paul Stollenwerk who helped supervise and all the Juniors that came and helped out. Lots of smiles. Bigger thanks to Quality Candy / Buddy Squirrel who donated 109 boxes of marshmallows eggs. When you see them thank them they are a wonderful supporter of the program. RAFFLE TICKETS Please PICK THEM UP>>> Please Pick up your raffle tickets at the SSYC office so we can make sure we sell them, I don't want the parents to be buying these tickets at the last minute. Kaszube Cup tee shirt designs Please have your tee shirt designs in by April 28th. We will Judge on April 29th and to the printer on May 1... Safe Boating Course Date TBD... We will be running a Boating Safety Seminar for Juniors to get Power boat Certified. Juniors need to be 12 years old to participate. If you are interested please look for the sign-up form coming soon. April 7th Junior UpdateFor Sailing lessons - We will be asking the Instructors to post previous weeks activities and what is needed for the next. Regatta notices will be posted here as well.
We will start the habit of updating this consistently and having it being a single source of information. Still working through email lists. We are trying to be sure we are updated. Please be patient it is still a work in progress… Sailing lessons update. There is still room in each class although I am missing applications from students from last year, and some of you who have expressed interest. Please get the applications into the club as soon as possible as I can only hold spots open for so long. Junior Advisory Meeting April 18th Please advise if you would like to become a member of this committee. Upcoming Events April 20th Easter Egg Hunt 11 am to 1:30 pm Dick Olson Vice Chair of Junior Committee for 2019. I have asked Dick to assist me in various functions regarding the Junior program. He has been building our fundraising efforts and will be spearheading the Kaszube Cup this year and will be an integral part of managing the Instructors and the organization. Regatta Schedule We will be publishing a regatta schedule shortly. Area K Teams SSYC Juniors will be sending a team in each class to the Area K qualifiers. This year they are at Milwaukee Yacht Club Starting July 16th. Please submit your interest in competing with skipper and crew information.
