The Santa Event 2020 - Recap

During a very unusual year, the SSYC Juniors organized a holiday event to maintain some level of normalcy. Our volunteers and Santa braved the windy and wet winter storm to help make sure anyone in the community could place their requests with Santa. Approximately 50 cars from around the entire community participated in the drive-thru Santa event by visiting the various cheerful and charitable stations.

The Santa Event fundraising updates:

• Monetary donations to benefit the Juniors program totaled $823! ($260 online and $563 cash at the event)
• Annual Harken Calendar sales (Thank you Harken for calendar donations!): $690 as of Dec 12. If you haven't purchased one, they are still on sale at SSYC.
• We also collected 16 bags of food and cookies for the Bay View Community Center food pantry!
