2021 Winter Fundraising Information
The Junior Sailing school is in dire need of a safety boat. Unfortunately, the price of our sailor's safety is quite expensive.
The Junior Sailing Organization is requesting Junior families pitch in a little extra with a holiday fundraiser.
What: City Tins AND Harken Calendar Fundraiser
10 total items in any combination of the above.
You may opt out of selling, by writing a check for $150.00 to SSYC Junior Foundation or donating* $150.00 on the foundation website: https://www.ssycjuniors.org/donate.html
For every item of the 10 NOT sold, families will owe $15/unsold item. For example, if your family sells 4 Calendars and 2 City Tins, your family would write a check or donate* $60.
Also, if any of your family members decline the gifts we are offering, but would still like to donate*, they may do so using the website above or write a check made out to SSYC Junior Foundation and drop it off at the SSYC front desk or bar.
*Any above cash/check donations are tax-deductible and donors will receive a letter from the Foundation for their tax preparer.
Top Fundraising Prizes:
Runner-up gets $25 off their lessons
1st place gets $50 off their lessons
When: Items should be sold or donations should be made by Friday, December 17th, 2021.
If you are having a difficult time reaching the goal OR would like to sell past the due date, please email Stacy Trisco at stacytrisco.ssyc@gmail.com or Rena Fischer at junior.advisor@ssyc.org, so we may evaluate and discuss the situation. Families are of course encouraged to sell above and beyond the goal of 10 items.
How much: Harken Calendars are $15/item; City Tins are $30/tin
Who: ALL Junior members and their families can sell to ANYONE
Remember, the info above is per family, NOT per Junior. This way, the whole family can help AND get credit for their sailor.
How to, Calendars:
- Collect money from prospective buyers or purchase as a gift.
- Place money in an envelope with the following info written on the outside (IMPORTANT FOR FAMILY CREDIT):
- Family name associated with the Junior
- # of calendars purchased
- amount of check/money in the envelope
- Obtain Harken Calendars at the SSYC Office or bar by giving the envelope to the respective person in charge. Envelopes will be collected by the Foundation Treasurer.

IMPORTANT! In order for Juniors to get the proceeds and your family to get credit, your prospective buyer MUST use the link below.
